Federal financial aid has been a thread in the fabric of traditional brick-and-mortar higher education since 1958 – when the National Defense Student Loan Program (precursor to Perkins) was created.

The team over at Online Schools Center created this interesting infographic depicting the relationship between online education and financial aid. Check it out!
