Our second annual nationwide user-group event, UserCon2018, happens June 24 in Austin, Texas! To help you maximize your time—and to ensure you have the #awesomest experience ever—here are a few tips…
What to Bring
Bring your ideas, enthusiasm, questions—and business cards! Networking with fellow #FinAidNinjas will create connections you’ll want to keep. We’ll be sending attendees ALL of the presentations and handouts via email after the event, so no laptop needed.
What to Wear
We’re a casual group. Wearing comfortable clothes—so we’re ready for anything—is how we roll. We promise we won’t organize a pickup game of basketball during the day but we recommend that you wear comfy shoes. They’ll be especially handy when we head over to the convention center for the kickoff of NASFAA 2018. We also recommend you have a sweater or jacket handy—hotel conference centers are notoriously chilly.
What’s on the Menu
To get your Sunday off on the right foot, we’ll provide a hot breakfast, complete with crispy bacon. Beverages, snacks, and copious amounts of coffee will be available throughout the day. Some delicious street tacos may also make an appearance. If you have dietary restrictions or allergies you forgot to mention, please let us know ASAP.
NASFAA Registration Time-Saving Tip
If you have time, check in and get your NASFAA 2018 National Conference badge before heading over to UserCon. Better yet, download the NASFAA mobile app and use the QR code on your “Fast Pass Reg” to check in and print your badge at any self-service kiosk. That way, you’ll be able to go straight to your seat for the NASFAA Keynote after UserCon—and avoid any long lines at registration.
We’re Your Personal Escorts to the NASFAA Keynote!
The NASFAA Keynote presentation kicks off Sunday afternoon at 4 p.m. at the Austin Convention Center. UserCon2018 is being held just a 10-minute walk from the convention center, at the JW Mariott Austin. When UserCon ends, members of our team will walk with you from the Marriott to the NASFAA venue—ensuring you get there in plenty of time.
