Student Financial Services (SFS) professionals live at the intersection of student expectations and institutional pressures. It’s a tough space, where change travels at hyper speed. Students are trying to figure out all the costs—and sacrifices—they’ll have to make to enter higher education. Institutions are battling negative public perception on education’s value, and completion rates—students want proof that their sacrifices will be worth it.
Technology can amplify higher education’s transformative power. But it takes more than amazing technology to change the world. It takes passionate student financial services professionals who want to lead change, not react to it. It takes technology providers with the vision and skills to build better pathways—digital pathways that drive accessibility, help students reduce borrowing, and foster completion. It takes conversation.
All of these things converge at EmpowerED19—The SFS Tech Conference.
